Jerry’s career in executive protection and military service spans over 34 years of real-world experience. He began his journey by enlisting in the United States Army in 1992, quickly advancing through the ranks and earning numerous awards and accolades for his dedication. In 1995, as a Corporal in the 1st Infantry Division, Jerry’s platoon directly supported DEA teams during Joint Task Force-6 Counter Drug Interdiction Missions, conducting ground reconnaissance patrols along the Yuma, Arizona/Mexico border.

By 2002, during Operation Desert Spring in Kuwait and Iraq, Jerry served as a Scout Platoon Team Leader with HHC 2-69, 3rd Infantry Division. He and his platoon were tasked with intelligence preparation and battlefield reconnaissance to report and prevent Iraqi forces from re-entering Kuwait. In 2008, Jerry was assigned to the 101st Airborne, MP Company in Afghanistan, where he served as a movement team NCO, transporting insurgents from detainment facilities to undisclosed locations. In 2011, he became an LNO with A-Co 20th Special Forces Group, conducting village support operations in Afghanistan.

After receiving his honorable discharge, Jerry transitioned into private military contracting. He led a team providing MRAP operations and mobile security for Department of State personnel in Helmand and Kandahar provinces, Afghanistan. In 2016, Jerry founded Apex Risk Mitigation LLC and entered the private security sector, providing close protection services for dignitaries, political leaders, and Fortune 500 clients during events and travel nationwide. In 2025, he supported the Texas government's security operations in Eagle Pass, Brownsville, and El Paso, Texas, as part of Operation Lone Star along the southern border. Most recently, in 2025, Jerry spent six months in Rafah City, Gaza, conducting security operations.
